Since buyers have put their vacation plans on “HOLD”, they are willing to push the envelope to buy a home that fulfills all of their needs. There is no question that we will be living with this “new normal” longer than anyone imagined so people need space to grow, work, teach and learn, and not go insane!

Historical low-interest mortgage rates coupled with the fact that people aren’t purchasing big-ticket vacations, buyers now have the extra money to stretch for that pool or extra office that they’ve always wanted and the low-interest rates are increasing their affordability index.
According to Mortgage News Daily:
“Those shopping for a home can afford 10 percent more home than they could have one year ago while keeping their monthly payment unchanged. This translates into nearly $32,000 more buying power.”
The Mortgage Reports states it best. “It’s a better time to buy a house than it has been in almost 50 years. And mortgage rates are to thank”.
Rates as of September 2020 are below 3%, lower than the previous low of 2012.
